Patty, Jen, Janice and family,
My prayers are with you all in this time of sorrow and sadness.
Even though he's gone
his memory still remains in our hearts,
his smile and face will never fade,
think of him as you go on each day,
the good times you remember,
and the days spent together,
carry them always in your hearts and memories forever...
He's in a better place now, where we know he's much happier,
and he will look over you all and make sure your okay,
And know you will see him again someday....

Mike Carey was one of the nicest people I have ever met. My cousin Nancy and I hung out with him and Wayne DeCatur and Kenny White when we were 16 years old. We would go to the canteen dances then to Joe's piazza on division St. And then they would walk us home to my cousins house on Fonda road to make sure we got home safe. Very fond memories. RIP Mike

Jenny, Janis & Family:
There are no words that can express the grief you will feel for where there is great love so goes the grief. Anyone who knew Mike will feel the same. I have nothing but fond memories of Mike and I've known him for many many years, my heart aches for the loss. As has been stated this week over and over; he is one of the good guys.
Mike spoke about you both often and with such pride and love. Keep his memory alive for the young ones and remember he is with you in spirit always.
God bless Mike and may he rest in eternal peace. With kindest regards...

Mike was a wonderful man who always had a kind word and of course a joke for everyone! He loved his family more than anything and always was talking about his daughters and grandchildren! We will always miss him at city hall because as he use to say every day "What a way to run a railroad!" He made us all smile every day! Rest assured there will never be another "Mike Carey's Kitchen!" RIP Mike, Cohoes City Hall will never be the same!!
