Obituary of William R. Boyle

Delmar – William Ronald (Ron) Boyle, 80, of Delmar, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday May 6, 2015 at St. Peter's Hospice after a long illness. Born in Watervliet, Ron was the son of the late William and Helen Hockey Boyle. He was a US Air Force Veteran. Ron graduated from LaSalle Institute in Troy, and had a long successful career in electronic sales as a district manager for various companies. Ron loved Cape Cod where he lived for many years and enjoyed watching his Red Sox and Patriots. Ron was very involved at Holy Redeemer Church, Chatham, MA. as a volunteer and friend too many. Ron and his beloved wife Chris enjoyed traveling, the arts and most of all their cats Misty, Cinnie, Jade and Mitty. Ron was the cherished husband of Christina Boyle of Delmar. Brother of Madonna Parker and the late Gary Boyle of Cohoes, his children Mark (Michelle) Boyle of Altamont, Kathleen Boyle (Craig Murphy) of Queensbury, Kelly P. Goertz (Pamela Rizzo) of Delmar and his late son Patrick Loftus. Grandfather of Zachary Ignazio, Gavin and Garrett Goertz of Delmar. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 11, 2015 at 8:30am at the Church of the Holy Trinity, Cohoes where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will immediately follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, N.Y. Ron's family would like to thank the staff at the Stratton Veteran's Hospital, Albany Medical CCU and the staff at St. Peter's Hospice for their compassionate care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Peter's Hospice or the Stratton Veterans Hospital would be appreciated.
