Marylyn Kathleen Iris Tremblay (Lawrence) passed away on December 4, 2014 at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany in the presence of her loving family. Born on August 29, 1924 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late William and Bertha Stratton Lawrence. Marylyn grew up in Hemmingford, Quebec, Canada and in 1952 moved to Cohoes, N.Y. with her husband, Lionel and their two sons. Marylyn was an excellent homemaker and her greatest joy was being with loved ones at family gatherings. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, knitting and gardening. For many years she was an employee of Cohoes Manufacturing. Some of her happiest moments were spent with "fiddler" husband, Lionel, at local musical events. Marylyn is predeceased by her husband Lionel, brothers William, James, Alex, Isaac and sister Valentina Lawrence. She is survived by two sons, Gerald Tremblay of Latham and Ronald (Sandra) Tremblay of Cohoes. She was "Nana" to six cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Deborah Dow (Matthew), Jerald, Jacques (Jamie), Erick (Jessica), and Carrie Kelen (Peter) and was "Great-Nana" to four great-grandchildren, Hannah and Kathryn Dow, Everett Tremblay and Andrew Tremblay, Marylyn also had nieces, nephews and extended family in Canada. Funeral services were held at the convenience of the family, followed by interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford. Do not delete this line. It does not print.
