Frances E. Flaherty LaBelle, 107, formerly of Watervliet, passed away at Wesley Health Care Center, Saratoga Springs, N.Y. on Thursday, October 23, 2014 after a long illness. Born in Rutland, Vermont educated in Watervliet Schools and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Nellie Levins Flaherty. She was a clerk at Montgomery Ward’s in Menands. A communicant of Scared Heart Church, Watervliet and a member of the Rosary Society. Frances loved crocheting and knitting. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward V. LaBelle. Mother of Edward (Ruth) LaBelle of Troy, Robert J. (Joyce) LaBelle of FL., Frances J. (Armand) Bouleris of Malta and Kenneth P. (Rita) LaBelle of Delanson. Sister of the late Pauline Connair and Paul T. Flaherty. Also survived by 18 grandchildren, many many great grandchildren, many great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Monday 9:30am at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Rev. James Ebert officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday morning at 9:00am. Interment in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
