Mary C. Sunkis, 86, formerly of Cohoes passed away at the Teresian House, Albany on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 after a long illness. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary Kosenburg Clark. She was a homemaker and belonged to the St. Joseph’s Church Rosary Society. Wife of the late Charles T. Sunkis, Sr. Mother of Charles Sunkis, Jr. of Cohoes and John (Donna) Sunkis of Cohoes. Grandmother of Dennis (Diana) Sunkis of Cohoes, Jennifer (Nicholas) Isaacs of Guilderland and great grandmother of Ayla and Kinley Isaacs and Scarlett Sunkis. Funeral Friday 10:00am at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Deacon Charles Valenti officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 7pm.
