Buskirk – John H. Kalbfliesh, Sr. was born on December 13, 1941, at his family’s home. He was the son of Henry Sr. and Millie Hellwig Kalbfliesh. Following his many years of hard work and dedication, John passed away on May 6, 2026, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany from complications resulting from surgery. Throughout his life, John proved himself as a hard worker, from graduating from Hoosic Valley to starting Imperial Roofing Company in Cohoes, NY in 1970. It was through his roofing business that John made many friends and built relationships with customers that continue with his daughter, who worked by his side. John is survived by his wife, Patricia; his daughter, Melonie; and his son John (Lisa) Kalbfliesh. He is also survived by his grandsons, DJ (Ashley) Daigle; Brandon (Danielle) Kalbfliesh; his granddaughters. Alandra Daigle and Brittany Kalbfliesh; along with his great-granddaughters, Ayva Kalbfliesh and Avery Daigle; and great-grandson, Atlas Kalbfliesh. John is predeceased by his daughter, Jacqueline, and his grandson, Devon Jeskie. In his later years, John enjoyed reminiscing with family and friends about the old days.
