Cohoes – Darcy A. Gamache, 56, of Cohoes passed away at Samaritan Hospital, Troy on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. She was born in Troy and educated in Cohoes. She was the daughter of David Kohls of Halfmoon and the late Joann Hering Shumpis. She was a baker for Golden Krust Bakery in Cohoes for many years. Mother of Robert Gamache, Jr. of Watervliet, Sarah Gamache of Albany, and Zachary (Daisy) Gamache of Cohoes. Grandmother of Ryan King, Bella Fogarty, Dominic Fogarty, Xavier Fogarty and Lyla Fogarty, Zachary Gamache, Jr., Chayten Gamache and Alexzandria Gamache and great grandmother of Ezme King. Sister of David Kohls, John McTighe, Eric Kohls, Anna Desnoyers and Brian Shumpis, also survived by many nieces and nephews.
