Cohoes – Charles F. Allendorph, 93, of Cohoes passed away suddenly at Albany Medical Center on Monday, August 18, 2025. He was born and educated in Cohoes and was the son of the late Charles and Emelda Veve Allendorph. He worked for Bendix in Green Island for many years. He belonged to St. Joseph’s Church in Cohoes until closing then St. Michael’s Church. Charlie was an avid walker, fisherman, liked to play Bingo and he was known as the Bottle man. He baked pies, he liked to garden, play cards, and collect coins. He is survived by his niece, Kimberly Fan of Troy, nephew Carl (Rebecca) Allendorph of Cohoes and niece Karen (Charlie) Aayotte of Troy, great nieces Tiffany Anderson and Patricia (Matt) Hume Grovenger, also survived by many cousins who loved him dearly. Funeral services will be held at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 10:30am. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford.
