Cohoes – Thomas D. Walsh, Jr., 62, of Cohoes unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025. He was born and raised in Cohoes, NY and was a 1981 Shaker High School graduate. Tommy was the son of his beloved mother Lorraine M. Walsh and his late father Thomas D. Walsh, Sr. Tom had a lifelong love for the bowling industry. He had a passion for wanting to promote bowling through instruction, fundraising, and pure enjoyment of the sport. Most of his hours were spent at his love and joy Uncle Sam Lanes. When he wasn’t at a bowling center, his second passion was spending time at his camp with family and friends, often sneaking off to Saratoga Race Track, he gave many horse tips, but few paid off. Jr was also an avid Mets Fan and spent hours watching his favorite team at camp. He will be missed, but may he rest in peace. Tom Jr, the oldest child, was loved and leaves behind his siblings: Kevin, Cathy (Steve), Colleen (Steve), Terry (Dan), Tina (Mark), David (Kristin), Dan (Beckie), and the late Patty Walsh. He had several nieces and nephews that loved him, Jessica, Kayla, Ryan, Taylor, Karly, Erin, Madison, Meghan, Michael, and Tanner. He had an exceptionally close relationship with his nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed. Tommy loved his family and friends, sharing a special relationship with Kara, Anthony, and Zachary.
