Waterford – Rosemarie Pixley Edelstein, 78, of Waterford, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. She was born in Troy and was the daughter of the late Harold and Rose Spick Pixley. She was educated at Cohoes High School, received her associate’s degree in human services at Hudson Valley Community College and went to EOC In Troy for Cosmetology. She worked at the Cohoes Head Start as a family worker. Rosemarie was an avid Bingo player; she liked to do crafts and made the best carrot cake and cheesecake. She enjoyed her flowers in the garden, going to the Saratoga Racino and she especially enjoyed going out with her girlfriend’s celebrating birthdays. Survived by her husband, David Edelstein of Waterford, her children Rhonda Navojosky (Bobby Zemsky) of Queens and Jodie Navojosky of Watervliet. Sister of Yvette (Jim) Whinery of Halfmoon and Bernadette (Tim) Manning of Johnsonville and the late Robert Pixley, Edmond Pixley, Maurice Pixley and Janette Pixley, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00am at the Dufresne Funeral Home, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Rev. Nick TeBordo officiating. Interment will follow in Waterford Rural Cemetery, Waterford, NY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 5pm. Friends who wish to remember Rosemarie in a special way may donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory.
