Cohoes - Terry Ruth Timpane Russ was born March 23rd, 1949, in Albany, NY and pre-deceased by her parents, T. Brandon Timpane and Ruth Connery Timpane. She attended high school at the Academy of Holy Names in Albany and graduated from Salve Regina in Rhode Island in 1971. She achieved a master’s degree in Gerontology from Empire College. Terry was married for 54 years to Nathan O. Russ on June 19th, 1971, at St. Pius in Loudonville, NY. Their children are T. Brandon Russ (Tracey), Natalie Ruth Russ, Chandra Russ-Von Fricken (Derrick). Her grandchildren included Martin Torrent, Chayanne Russ, Alexander Russ, Eric Russ, Brynn Russ, and Sebastian Russ Von Fricken. Terry remained close with her sister, Kathy Medbery (Russ) and her nephew and nieces, Russell Medbery, Rachel Medbery and Cricket Medbery. Terry was predeceased by her Godmother, Virgina McDonald. Terry was a relentless volunteer at Holy Trinity Parish in Cohoes, NY. She served on Parish Council, Faith Formation, and taught CCD for over 25 years, as a small sample of her dedication and a bond to her faith. She worked as a care and activity coordinator at several elder care facilities in the Capital district. She also served at parish coordinator at Christ Our Light Parish in Loudonville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Holy Trinity, Cohoes on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 10:00am. The family will receive friends at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Friday from 4 to 7pm.
