Obituary of Colleen M LeMay

Colleen Marie LeMay, 61, of Troy, New York, passed away on March 20, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Colleen was born on September 23, 1963, to William LeMay and Diane Dunbar LeMay in Cohoes, New York. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Edward E. LaPlante Sr., sister Pamela LaPlante, and granddaughter Trinity Lee Ramirez. She is survived by her children: Kelly LaPlante (Pamela), Shannon Thomas (David), Tosha Gagnon, Harley Gagnon, Sherrie LeMay, her fourteen grandchildren that include five granddaughters and nine grandsons, her brother, Christopher LeMay, her sister, Linda Miller, along with several nieces and nephews.Colleen loved her children and grandchildren with all of her heart. She had a wonderful sense of humor, proven by a distinct laugh and an unmistakable twinkle in her eye. Colleen found joy in many things, including spending time with her children and grandchildren while playing cards, video games, and watching movies. She spent her time doing what she loved, including crocheting, completing word search puzzles, and chatting on the phone.

A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date. May Colleen’s memory bring comfort to those who loved her.
