
Obituary of Christina M Amyot
Cohoes – Christina M. Adamczyk Amyot, 77, of Cohoes passed away at Albany Medical Center on Thursday, February 6, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born in Cohoes and was the daughter of the late Edward and Jadwiga Szmitkowsky Adamczyk. She graduated from Cohoes High School; Class of 1965 and she graduated from Maria College with an Associate’s Degree. Christina retired from Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory in Niskayuna after 21 years of service. Christina enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting and garage sales, but most of all after retirement she liked going to lunch with her friends, enjoying her family, especially hosting special occasions, and spending quality time with her granddaughter, Sydney. She was an avid Neil Diamond fan, traveling to foreign countries to attend his concerts. She enjoyed watching tennis. Survived by her son, Joshua (Victoria) Amyot of Waterford, her granddaughter Sydney, and her forever fiancé Richard Allen of Ballston Lake. Sister of Anna Barbagallo of Cohoes and the late Wanda Feather, Gertrude Lefebvre, Casimir (Katherine) Adamczyk, Phyllis (William) Laranjo and Edward Adamczyk (Shawn Minahan), also survived by many nieces and nephews. Her grand dog Whitney. Friends who wish to remember Christina in a special way may donate to Bladder Cancer Awareness Network, Bcan.org in her memory. Services are private at the convenience of the family.
