Edward E. LaPlante Sr. 86, of Troy passed away on Sunday September 2, 2012 at Albany Medical Center.
Born and educated in Vermont, was the son of the late Marjorie H. and Joseph A. LaPlante. Husband of Diane Dunbar LaPlante of Troy. Edward was a farmer in North Hebron, a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict, member of the VFW in Manchester, VT and American Legion in Grandville, NY.
Father of Catherine, Mary, Edward Jr., Erin, Michael, Andrena, and James.
Step-father to Colleen, Pam, Chris and Linda.
Brother of John LaPlante and the late Cecilia, Madeline, Helen, Joseph, Max, Larry, and Donald.
Also survived by 12 Grandchildren, 20 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A private Funeral will be held at the Gerald B. H. Solomon, Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
