Cohoes John G. Green, 69, of Reservoir Street, Cohoes died suddenly at St. Marys Hospital, Troy on Tuesday, June 25, 2013. He was born in Troy, graduated from Colonie Central High School in 1961 and received his BS Degree from RPI. Son of the late George and Ellen Nymann Green. He was employed and retired from the New York State Lab and was a faithful servant of WHAZ Radio Station in Cohoes. He is survived by his loving sister, Myra Melgar of Huntersville, N.C., also survived by one niece, one nephew, two great nieces and one great nephew. A Memorial Service will be held Friday 11:00am at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Pastor Nick TeBordo officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00am. Those who wish to remember John in a special way may make a contribution to WHAZ Radio Station, Cohoes.
