Mary (Del) O’Hara, 68, of Cohoes, passed away at St. Peter’s Hospice, Albany on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 with her loving family by her side after a brief illness. Daughter of the late John and Ethel Martin O’Hara and predeceased by her brother John M. O’Hara. Born in Cohoes, she graduated from Cohoes High School Class of 1965 and was on the reunion committee for 50 years. She worked for the NYS Court system for 33 years for Hon Joseph Harris and Hon Bernard (Bud) Malone. Del and Andy spent their winters in Zephyrhills, FL. She was a member of the Sweet Tees Golf Club, Latham and she liked to travel. Del is survived by her son Scott (Caryn) O’Hara of Speigletown, her grandchildren Ashley M. O’Hara of Cobleskill, Kathleen E. O’Hara of Charlotte, NC, Scott M. O’Hara and Camryn A. O’Hara of Speigletown and her loving companion Andrew Gisondi of Cohoes, also survived by many close friends she made through the years. Funeral Service Sunday evening at 6:00pm following the visitation at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Deacon Charles Valenti officiating. Inurnment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Watervliet at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 to 6pm. Those who wish to remember Dell in a special way may make a donation to Community Hospice in her memory.
