Obituary of Margaret T. Nicolson

Schenectady – Margaret “Peg” T. Nelson Nicolson, 93, formerly of Cohoes, peacefully passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013 at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center, Schenectady, two weeks after her spouse of 68 years, Craig Nicolson passed away. Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Emily Down Nelson. She graduated from Russell Sage College in 1942. Peg was a devoted volunteer at the Cohoes Memorial Hospital, Eddy Cohoes Rehabilitation Center and Sunnyview Hospital, Schenectady. Mother of Susan Craig Nicolson, M.D. (David Jobes) of Mullica Hill, NJ and Lynne Taylor Nicolson M.D. (Douglas Hamilton) of Niskayuna, grandmother of Caitlin Hamilton of Niskayuna. A Memorial Service for Craig and Peg will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 2pm at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Rev. Nick TeBordo officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Private inurnment at the convience of the family in Memory’s Garden, Colonie.
