Marion B. VanDecar, 96, of Cohoes passed away at the Eddy Village Green, Cohoes on Friday, April 17, 2015 after a long illness. Born and educated in Cohoes, she attended Albany Business College. Daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Caravan Brower. She worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. in Cohoes until she was 65 years of age. A member of the United Church of Cohoes, Saturday Club and Abraham and Sarah Club. Wife of the late Otto VanDecar. Marion is survived by her devoted friends, Ann Wemett of Cohoes, Elva Shulga of Cohoes, Deborah Ricci of Cohoes and Bettye Carr of Troy. Funeral Monday 2:00pm at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Pastor Nick TeBordo officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens, Colonie. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 12:00 noon to 2:00pm.
