Frances C. Lanne, 86, formerly of Ogden Mill Apartments, Cohoes passed away at Kyle, Texas on Friday, January 2, 2015 after a long illness. Born in Mechanicville, educated in Cohoes and was the daughter of the late John and Agata Krawviec Olszowy. She was a machine operator in many textile mills in the capital area and was a communicant of St. Michael's Church, Cohoes. She is survived by her son Robert (Laurie) Lanne of Austin, Texas, grandchildren James M., Amanda L. and Brittney Lanne of Austin Texas and the late Robert T. Lanne. Sister of the late Michael Olszowy and Henry Olszowy, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Friday 9:00am at St. Michael's Church, Cohoes where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Thursday from 4 to 7pm. Those who wish to remember Frances in a special way may make a contribution to the Albany Medical Center NICU in memory of her grandson Robert T. Lanne.
